Hi Guys!
It is #RedCoatTuesday, and today's nails use Zoya Storm, with yep! you guessed it, red polish! Rimmel London Stiletto Red to be exact. Which is a a gorgeous red creme polish. It doesn't get any more classic red than this shade, and although there are tons of reds exactly like this, the easy to work with formula, and the rounded brush is what makes it one of my favourites.
To get this look, I started with a base of Rimmel London Stiletto Red on my middle and pinky fingers, and a base of Zoya Storm on my thumb (not shown) pointer, and ring fingers. I did 2 coats of both polishes, and they both applied smoothly and easy. Once that was dry, I stamped over the red nails using MoYou London Princess Plate 14 in Cult Nails Nevermore. The glitter placement stars were a bit of an experiment. They come from OPI The Impossible which is a texture polish. I liked the idea of keeping them red, so instead of cleaning them off when I fished them out, I just placed them on the nail. They look like glittery red stars in person, but up close in my pictures, they get a bit lost in the red base. In retrospect I should have cleaned them off, but you can't win them all! I still like them, even though in my pictures they turned out a bit like star blobs, instead of glittery red stars! :P
I really like that Zoya Storm and the stamped stars give this look a bit of a youthful edge. Red for me, is always such a classy colour, that just yells sophistication, so it is nice to break out of the red mold and try something different.
Alright guys and gals, I think that covers it for today. I still have dinner to cook, some laundry to get done and of course a Pretty Little Liars episode to watch! :P Has anyone else been watching this season? Did you do red nails for Red Coat Tuesday? Let me know in the comments! Till next time Kittens! <3
