Bundle Monster Halloween Witch Nails!

Heya Guys!!

I am a bit pressed for time, and starving so let's get right to it shall we!? Today's  Bundle Monster nail art contest prompt was Witches! Let's take a look!!

To get this look I started with a base of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (Original) I only did one coat since I was going to be covering this with the gradient. Once that was mostly dry, I went in with a sponge and put the gradient on using Pacific Blue, OPI  Eurso Euro, and Cult Nails Blackout. I then freehanded the moon with a thin nail brush from Winstonia, in  Rica Whiteout. While I waited for my moon to dry, I took small bits of torn up sponge and using OPI I Just can't Cope-a-Cabana and Zoya Dove placed random splotches all over all the nails to give it a fog like eerie effect, I also went in with the same polishes over the moon to give it some depth. At this point I top coated and waited a bit for it to dry. Once it was dry enough to stamp over I took Bundle Monster Plate BM-013 and stamped the Witch and the Bats in Mundo De Unas Black. I then top coated again in KBShimmer Clearly on Top, and then again with OPI Matte Top Coat. I always use a glossy top coat first to ensure it won't smear my design.

I am really pleased with how this turned out, it is dark and eerie and creepy! I was a bit worried going in that my moon would turn out badly, but I have been practicing my freehand skills and it is finally starting to pay off! :P

Alright guys and gals, I think that covers it for today! I hope you liked my Witch nails as much as I do! Has anyone else been doing this nail art contest!? Are you having as much fun as I am? Till next time Kittens! <3

Zoya Tilda makes Great Candy Halloween Nails!

Evening Guys!

I took a mini break from the Bundle Monster Nail Art Contest, cause over the weekend, I got a bit of a flu bug. :l Needless to say holidays, Nail art contest and flu bugs..don't mix! lol I am not 100% yet, but getting there, so I am jumping right back in at Day 15! The prompt was Trick or Treat!

I went with candy!!! Cause well, candy! :P To get this look I started with a base of Zoya Tilda on all my fingers. Once that was dry I took a sponge and using Tilda and OPI Do You Have This Color in Stock-Holm?  Did a gradient on my pointer and pinky fingers. While that was drying I stamped over my middle and ring fingers with MJ Plate III in Mundo De Unas Purple 14, and took my smallest dotting tool and filled in the centre of each circle with OPI Can't aFjord Not To. I then stamped over my pointer and pinky with Bundle Monster Plate BM-002 in Mundo De Unas 53 Geranium. I then top coated everything with KBShimmer Clearly on Top!

I really love how this came out. I was worried when I first came up with the idea, that it wouldn't look Halloween enough, but I really think the colour scheme keeps it looking very much in spirit of Halloween!

Even with my flu bug I am having so much fun with this contest! I have always shied away from things like this, worrying that I would get burned out or that it would be more work than fun for me,  I will admit I haven't done all the days, but I am still loving the prompts and having fun bringing them to life! Alright guys and gals, I think that covers it for today. Tomorrow's prompt is Witches, and I am pretty excited!! Till next time Kittens! <3

To get this look I started with a base of China Glaze Pelican Grey on all my fingers, I only did one coat on my pointer and pinky, since I was going to be doing a gradient, but my middle and ring fingers got 3 coats to ensure opacity. Once that was dry, I stamped the letters onto my middle and ring fingers, for my tombstone. I used MoYou London Scholar Plate 06 and stamped in Cult Nails Nevermore. On my pointer and pinky, I did a gradient using Pelican Grey, Cult Nails Blackout and Cult Nails Nevermore, once that was dry I stamped over the gradient with Fun plate 04, in Nevermore, then stamped again over that with Bundle Monster BM-013 in Essie No Place like Chrome for the bats. I then top coated with KBShimmer Clearly On Top, and then again with OPI Matte Top Coat.

I am really pleased with how this came out! I was a bit worried going in that the letters might be to big, or that the bats wouldn't look right, but I am so glad it all came together! I really think it has the true feel of a graveyard, and is perfect for Halloween! I may even have to do this again, when Halloween actually rolls around!

Alright guys and gals, I think that covers it all for today! I am hoping to get a bit ahead this weekend, so that I can throw in some other posts! I hope you liked my take on graveyard nails as much as I do!! Till next time Kittens! <3

I went with Minion Jack-O-Lanterns! I have to say, I am totally in love with how these turned out! What's better then minions for Halloween!? I honestly don't think there is anything better...lol

To get this look I started with a base of Cult Nails on my thumb (not shown) pointer and ring fingers, and a base of Zoya Arizona on my middle and pinky fingers. Once that was dry I stamped the spider web image on my pointer and ring with Bundle Monster Plate BM-013 in Essie No Place Like Chrome.  To get my Jack-O-Lanterns, I first stamped the lines with Winstonia Plate W202 in Rica Polish Whiteout, then once that was dry enough that it wouldn't smear, I covered it with L'oreal Mango Mama, which is a sheer Jelly Orange. I waited for that to dry, and stamped the top leaves on with Bundle Monster Plate BM-005 in Mundo De Unas Avocado, and added the adorable minion faces with MJ Plate XXII. I then top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top and voila! Adorable Minion Jack-O-Lanterns!!

I am really, really in love with how this came out! I feel like I took something awesome like Jack-O-Lanterns, and put my own signature twist on it, and honestly I couldn't be more pleased with how these turned out!

Alright guys and gals, I think that covers it for today! I hope you aren't getting sick of these nail art challenge posts yet!? I am hoping to maybe get ahead over the weekend, and throw in some other content to mix it up for you guys. We will see how my weekend goes though, since beta for the EQ2 expac was released the other day, and well..gamer nerd! :P  Anyway, till next time Kittens! <3

Zoya Chantal and Robyn are Monstrously Awesome!

Heya Guys!!

It is a bit late in the day for my post, but I am not feeling well, so I got a bit of a late start on today's nails.  Since I am running a bit late, let's get right to today's Bundle Monster Nail Art Contest look! Today's prompt was Monsters!!

Zoya-Cookie-Monster-nail-art

As you can tell, I didn't go traditional here. I was going over and over through my Bundle Monster plates, and coming up short on ideas, when it finally hit me! The prompt is monsters, and who is one of the most famous monsters ever!? Cookie Monster!

To get this look I started with a base of Zoya Robyn on my ring finger and Zoya Chantal on all my other fingers. Once that was dry, I stamped dots over Zoya Chantal for a cookie effect using Bundle Monster BM-018 in Mundo De Unas Brown 23, and stamped Cookie Monsters mouth using My Online Shop plate MJ XXII in Cult Nails Nevermore. I did his eyes with a dotting tool, first the white dot in Rica Polish Whiteout and then the black dots over that in Nevermore. I then top coated everything in KBShimmer Clearly on Top and voila! Cookie Monster nails! :D

Although these aren't perfect, and not really "Halloween" I still adore them. I am loving how this nail art contest is forcing me to really think outside the box for the prompts! I am already looking forward to tomorrows jack-o-lanterns!

Alright guys and gals, I think that covers it for today! I hope you enjoyed my take on Monster nails as much as I did! Till next time Kittens! <3

Rica Polish Whiteout Makes Awesome Ghosts!

Hi Guys!!

I hope everyone had a good weekend! I mulled over doing this contest, and decided that although I might not do all the days, it was totally worth giving it a shot! It looks like a lot of fun, and even though I am starting a bit late, I am pretty excited about giving this a go! So...as you can guess, that is what today's nails are! Day 06: Ghosts!

The contest is fairly straight forward. You do each day's theme, and make sure you use at least 1 Bundle Monster product. The more days you do, the better your chances are at winning! For today's nails,  I had to get a bit creative though, since I don't own the Bundle Monster holiday set of plates, and thus didn't have any ghost images. I am in Canada, so using Bundle Monster polish was out too. After a bit of head scratching and testing some designs in my idea book, I finally came up with splatter nails and ghosts! I really like how this all came together, and I think that it turned out even better then I saw in my head!

To get this look, I started with a base of Rica Polish Whiteout on my middle and ring fingers, and a base of Cult Nails Nevermore on my thumb (not shown) pointer, and pinky fingers. Once that was dry, I took a medium dotting tool, and using Nevermore, made the ghost faces on my middle and ring fingers. I stamped on my pointer and pinky, with Bundle Monster 415 in Rica Polish Whiteout, and then again with the same image over that in Mundo De Unas Orange. I top coated with KBShimmer Clearly On Top and I was done!

I really like that this contest forced me to think outside the box and get creative with my ghost nails, they turned out perfect! I am honestly not sure how many days I will be able to do, but it is a lot of fun so far, and I am already looking forward to tomorrows monsters! Is anyone else doing this contest!? If you aren't you should think about it! The prize is a set of the new CYO 2014 set of BM plates! Anyway, till next time Kittens! <3

Born Pretty Store Arabesque Stamping Plate.

Hey Guys!!

Happy Friday!! Is anyone else looking forward to the weekend? I know I am! Today I want to show off a really unique stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.

Born-Pretty-Store-Plate-QA88-nail-stamping

This incredibly pretty Arabesque plate retails for $2.99 and since it is a full image nail plate, has a ton of design options. Born Pretty Store also has free international shipping, making this plate an incredible bargain.

Zoya-Sansa-Born-Pretty-Store-Nail-Stamping-QA88

This plate comes wrapped on both sides in a blue protective film, that needs to be removed before use.  The plate doesn't have a paper backing, but as long as you are careful it isn't an issue. Once it is out of the blue film you are ready to stamp! The plate is deeply etched and I had no issues whatsoever picking up the images onto my stamper. As you can see, the plate stamps wonderfully, and has clean crisp lines. It is a great plate and well worth the money! The quality and price make this plate top notch!

To get this look I started with my base polish, and once that was dry I took out the Born Pretty Plate QA88 and stamped in 2 separate colours, gold and teal. I got the effect by placing a dot off each polish on the plate right next to each other using the polish brush. This doesn't have to be neat, and they need to be touching slightly. Once you have your desired colours dotted along the edge of the image, simply scrape and stamp how you normally would. I used 2 colours for this step, but as along as your work fast, you could use more. The key to this is working quickly, and having your polishes ready to be dotted on the plates, (caps off, lined up next to the plate) that way they won't dry before you scrape and stamp. After you have stamped all your nails, simply top coat, and voila! Gorgeous Arabesque nails!

This plate is so original and I don't own anything even close to it, so this is a very welcome addition to my collection! I know it is a plate I will be reaching for often since it is not only gorgeous, but also being a full image plate gives it a ton of variety! I am already thinking this plate would make great stamping decals!

Alright guys and gals, I think that covers it for today! If you are interested in this plate it can be purchased here. Don't forget to use my code AFLW10 for 10% off all your Born Pretty Store orders! Also, while you are shopping for this amazing stamping plate, don't forget to check out Born Pretty's newly released stamping plate collection! The gorgeous plates and awesome price almost make it a steal! Till next time Kittens! <3

Zoya Arizona to Bring in October!

Hey Guys!!

Happy October! I am a little pressed for time, so let's get right to it. Today I want to show off how I wore Zoya Arizona. Which is a bright true orange creme.

Zoya-Arizona-Nail-Pattern-Boldness-Heady-Topper

Zoya-Arizona-Nail-Pattern-Boldness-Heady-Topper

Zoya-Arizona-Nail-Pattern-Boldness-Heady-Topper

I am still on the fence on if I like this or not. I love the intense sparkle, and I like the stamped pattern. I am just not sure how I feel about all of it together. I am not even really sure where I was going with this, and honestly, I am not sure this worked out! lol

To get this look, I started with a base of Zoya Arizona on my thumb (not shown) pointer, and pinky fingers, and a base of Nail Pattern Boldness Heady Topper on my middle and ring fingers. Heady Topper is gorgeous, but it is on the sheer side, to get this to be opaque I did have to do 4 coats, but it dries pretty quickly for a glitter bomb, so it wasn't so bad.  Once my base was mostly dry, I used Heady Topper and did a glitter gradient, with the polish brush over my pointer and pinky.  I then stamped over my middle and ring fingers, with MoYou London Kaleidoscope Plate 06 in Mundo De Unas 53. I then top coated the whole thing with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I think I started out thinking orange would be a good way to ring in October, but not having much else of a plan, I didn't know what else I was going to do. Sometimes those throw the kitchen sink at it and hope for the best works out for me, and sometimes....not as much! I wouldn't go as far as to say this is a "nail fail" but I wouldn't count it as a win either! Well, you live you learn I guess! :D That is the wonderful thing about nail art, nothing is permanent, so a new day a new design!  Does anyone else have this happen to them!? I know I can't be the only one! :P Let me know in the comments! Till next time Kittens! <3
