Zoya Chantal and Robyn are Monstrously Awesome!

Heya Guys!!

It is a bit late in the day for my post, but I am not feeling well, so I got a bit of a late start on today's nails.  Since I am running a bit late, let's get right to today's Bundle Monster Nail Art Contest look! Today's prompt was Monsters!!

As you can tell, I didn't go traditional here. I was going over and over through my Bundle Monster plates, and coming up short on ideas, when it finally hit me! The prompt is monsters, and who is one of the most famous monsters ever!? Cookie Monster!

To get this look I started with a base of Zoya Robyn on my ring finger and Zoya Chantal on all my other fingers. Once that was dry, I stamped dots over Zoya Chantal for a cookie effect using Bundle Monster BM-018 in Mundo De Unas Brown 23, and stamped Cookie Monsters mouth using My Online Shop plate MJ XXII in Cult Nails Nevermore. I did his eyes with a dotting tool, first the white dot in Rica Polish Whiteout and then the black dots over that in Nevermore. I then top coated everything in KBShimmer Clearly on Top and voila! Cookie Monster nails! :D

Although these aren't perfect, and not really "Halloween" I still adore them. I am loving how this nail art contest is forcing me to really think outside the box for the prompts! I am already looking forward to tomorrows jack-o-lanterns!

Alright guys and gals, I think that covers it for today! I hope you enjoyed my take on Monster nails as much as I did! Till next time Kittens! <3

Rica Polish Whiteout Makes Awesome Ghosts!

Hi Guys!!

I hope everyone had a good weekend! I mulled over doing this contest, and decided that although I might not do all the days, it was totally worth giving it a shot! It looks like a lot of fun, and even though I am starting a bit late, I am pretty excited about giving this a go! So...as you can guess, that is what today's nails are! Day 06: Ghosts!

The contest is fairly straight forward. You do each day's theme, and make sure you use at least 1 Bundle Monster product. The more days you do, the better your chances are at winning! For today's nails,  I had to get a bit creative though, since I don't own the Bundle Monster holiday set of plates, and thus didn't have any ghost images. I am in Canada, so using Bundle Monster polish was out too. After a bit of head scratching and testing some designs in my idea book, I finally came up with splatter nails and ghosts! I really like how this all came together, and I think that it turned out even better then I saw in my head!

To get this look, I started with a base of Rica Polish Whiteout on my middle and ring fingers, and a base of Cult Nails Nevermore on my thumb (not shown) pointer, and pinky fingers. Once that was dry, I took a medium dotting tool, and using Nevermore, made the ghost faces on my middle and ring fingers. I stamped on my pointer and pinky, with Bundle Monster 415 in Rica Polish Whiteout, and then again with the same image over that in Mundo De Unas Orange. I top coated with KBShimmer Clearly On Top and I was done!

I really like that this contest forced me to think outside the box and get creative with my ghost nails, they turned out perfect! I am honestly not sure how many days I will be able to do, but it is a lot of fun so far, and I am already looking forward to tomorrows monsters! Is anyone else doing this contest!? If you aren't you should think about it! The prize is a set of the new CYO 2014 set of BM plates! Anyway, till next time Kittens! <3

Indigo Bananas Maui Wowee goes Neon!

Hi Guys!

Today I want to show off a super gorgeous polish, Indigo Bananas Maui Wowee. Maui Wowee is an ice blue purple duo-chrome, with a bit of a foil like finish and a linear holo in the sun.  I am a bit pressed for time today, since my favourite person is still here, so let's get right to it!

As you can see, I managed to capture a bit of the holo in my lightbox, and although this isn't a blinding in your face holo, it is stronger in person. There is so much going on in this polish, it is hard to narrow down what I love best. I think I would have to say the duo-chrome, which is super surprising, since I am much more of a holo addict then a duo-chrome addict. This polish applies really nicely,  without any dragging issues, although I will mention, wait a bit in between coats, or you will run the risk of dragging. This was 3 thin coats. It was opaque at 2, but I added a third for colour depth.

To get this look, I started with a base of Indigo Bananas Maui Wowee on my thumb (not shown) middle and pinky fingers, and a base of Rica Whiteout on my pointer and ring fingers. Once that was dry, I stamped using Fun Plate 03 in Mentality Deuce, and then again stamping over that image with Fun Plate 03 in Mundo De Unas 29 Neon Pink. The studs came from a stud wheel of neon studs off eBay.

I know, it is September, and that means fall colours, but as you can see, I am not quite ready to let go of summer. I think I will have to get in a few more neon-eque manis, before I finally submit to fall. Speaking of the end of summer, I hope everyone who celebrates Labour Day had an awesome weekend! I relaxed mostly, and soaked up the last official weekend of summer with some swimming and a bbq.

Alright guys and gals, I think that mostly covers it for today. My favourite person is still here till the end of the week, and so I really should be getting back to playing hostess! I will have at least 1 more post this week, but I may be able to find some down time to squeeze in another! *fingers crossed!*  Till next time Kittens! <3

#RedCoatTuesday OPI Big Apple Red Goes Nautical!

Hey Guys!

Another week, another #RedCoatTuesday! Today's red nails are perfect for the summer months, and I am so glad I got to include them into the Red Coat Tuesday theme! I went with some nautical nails today, using OPI Big Apple Red once again. Funny thing, I actually learned while doing these, I don't have just a simple plain navy creme polish! How is that even possible!? I made due though using piCture pOlish Moody Blues, but feel free to hand out some good navy creme recommendations, I need to add one to my stash pronto! :P

To get this look, I started with a base of OPI Big Apple Red on my thumb (not shown) pointer and ring fingers, and a base of Rica Whiteout on my middle finger. The glitter accent on my pinky is OPI All Sparkly and Gold. Once that was dry, I used straight Nail Vinyls on my middle finger, and painted over it in piCture pOlish Moody Blues. I then stamped over the stripes with MoYou London Sailor Plate 01 in Essie Good as Gold. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. I top coated everything with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I have been wanting to do a nautical themed mani all summer long, I am super pleased with how this turned out, and so glad I finally got around to doing it on my nails! It may not be quite as sultry as any of our infamous liars, but it sure is adorable! Speaking of our liars, as the season winds down, I am getting a bit sad, one since there won't be any new episodes for a while, and two because I have really enjoyed doing red nails week after week with all the wonderful ladies in this link up, I know I will be eagerly awaiting the return of PLL.

Alright guys and gals, I think that covers it for today. Has anyone else done any nautical themed nails!? Let me know in the comments! Till next time Kittens! <3
